    You should probably utilize the on-line tutorials first, they not over cover most of the basics, it would also give you a free opportunity to see what it's all about before spending the bucks on a book.

    I think you can get it from $37 on amazon
    Until you can build a working general purpose reprogrammable computer out of basic components from radio shack, you are not fit to call yourself a programmer in my presence. This is cwhizard, signing off.
