    Windows Not Totally About Programming

Alright when I close a window it takes forever to redraw the background or the windows that are behind it. I don't know if I am using the right terminology so I will give and example. When I exit Internet Explorer it redraws or erases( I believe it is redraws) about a quarter of my monitor at one time. Hopefully you understand and it does it in sections. I have messed with resolution but that doesn't do anything. Help is appreciated very.

    Or slow graphics card.

Or you are writting a Windows app and have lost a lot of GDI resources.
