C# and DirectX Downloads? (Simple Q, Please reply)

Ok, can you give me any links and or names that you think it would be helpful for me to download?

Before, when i played with graphics i decided to go OpenGL.. namely because it was multiplatform for when i start toying with linux on other computers. Well, now i am toying with C#, and liking what i am slowly hearing about the .NET Platform.

Now here comes the part that will make you laugh :p, i am a *gasp* 56k user.. not for long, soon the "family" (my dad's and my project lol) comp room will be completed, loadedwith goodies. Along with a full blown Network to Server setup, with multiple servers setup, multiple user comps in basically every room of the house (not great comps, mostly just for networking itself), and ect. This is a bit off track but it is explaining my 56k usage at the moment lol. Back to the dialup, obviously, having said i have 56k, i do not have Cable. And my abilities to download nice big softwae packages (.NET 1.1 SDk, DirectX SDK) are limited, and i will be getting a chance to dl soon (this sunday).

So! onto the question,
Can you give me any names of software or packages that a avid C# &| .NET &| DirectX programmer would die without, or love to have? I hate to waste the access, but at the moment i have 1.1 Framework, SDK, and thats it lol.

I'll be downloading Everything to do with 2.0 (All Beta SDK's, Frameworks, ect, though i doubt i'll use em since i use SharpDevelop, a .NET 1.1 IDE),
the FREE!!! new Beta Visual 2005,
and the directX SDK.

Can you give me any names or links that you think i should get while i got the chance? Namely stuff over 40 megs, but most of that seems to be anyway.

Now this seems a bit odd i know, but i just want to make sure not to forget anything or miss anything.. as i hate getting home and going "DMT, I FORGOT <insert 100meg sdk here>!! ARGH!"

Why is that? Does it have to be over 40 megs to be good, or is this because you feel you can use your dialup to download stuff that is smaller than that.

As far as I can say, a C# compiler, a text editor, and the Direct X SDK is all you need. It's up to you how eleborate the first two of these utilities are.

k, i was just curious if there was some DirectX MSDN Manual thats 150 megs i was unaware of, or things to the like lol.

And over 40, Yes because i can dl 30 megs and whatnot on my 56k, i cant tie the phone line up all night, nor during the day, so i cant even dl like 100 meg things by leaving it downloading all night.
