New to programming.

Hey I'm new the the forums . Anyway, I have two goals, a long term one and a short term one. My short term one is to make a basic text editor which highlights syntax, my long tearm is to get into game programming, I'm not a complete n00b to programming but I don't know very much. Any suggustions of where to start? Any help appreciated .

Kuphryn, nice description.. hehe. Anyways, of course you should master c++ with some books. And, for a windows based text editor, like Kuphryn said, learn Windows Programming
