Hey, all.
I'm looking for a good WIN API book. Any suggestions would help. I am forced to learn some win programming because of an OLE problem with a filemaker database and windows.
Thanks

I've heard Petzold's name thrown around a lot, although I haven't read him myself.
All my friends recommend "Programming Windows - Charles Petzold" so many people have recomemded it to me that I am going to buy it...
Thanks for the tip. This book must be good because it's out of stock in several places - even online.
Thanks
Get the 5th edition.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity unto the dream.
This may be a blessing in disguise - Petzold's Programming Windows (5th ed.), while a great introduction and useful reference to winapi programming, contains, to the best of my knowledge, nothing whatsoever about OLE. If OLE is specifically what you're after then look elsewhere for a text reference but if you need a crash course in the fundamentals of winapi programming then Petzold's is very useful.Originally Posted by DMaxJ
