been there, done that
all they do is talk about is how gud it is....
The .NET Framework from a very very high level is basically a virtual machine, intermediate language, and a set of class libraries. I would equate it to the Java Runtime. The .NET Framework allows a programmer to write a program in any language he/she chooses. This works because the .NET Framework also defines a common type system that defines what int, char, string, etc mean across all languages. Is this too high level?
Not really, if it is implemented well. One could say argue that HTML and JavaScript are even more high level. Is this too high level?
I was asking if my explanation was too high level.Originally posted by CompURocket

The .Net Framework is great! It allows you to work in any programming language you like.
You need Visual Studio.Net in order to work in .Net environment.
I have Visual Studio.Net Enterprise edition and a year later they have 2003 edition.
Should I upgrade?
