    I havent used that object model but I have had similar errors

    try __uuidof(Office::Commandbarbuttonevents)

    The underscore before the object can sometimes denote that the object is a wrapper created by VC++. Kind of like;

    Code:
    _MyWrappedObjectPtr pObj;
    pObj.CreateInstance(__uuidof( SomeNamespace::WrappedObject ));
    Also, I'll move this to the windows board

    problem got solved

    in order to use __uuidof() we should use #import or the file must be a MIDL compiled one
