    Java...?

    I know this is a C++ board, but I really need some help with this... Does anyone know how to just make a java program with J2SE 1.4.2? I have it, but have never made a java program, and I don't have a clue how to just get started with that program. Please help me if you can.

    Sorry, I can't help you, but I just wanted to make sure you searched for a Java board, there should be a few out there. Good luck!

    While you're breakin' down my back n'
    I been rackin' out my brain
    It don't matter how we make it
    'Cause it always ends the same
    You can push it for more mileage
    But your flaps r' wearin' thin
    And I could sleep on it 'til mornin'
    But this nightmare never ends
    Don't forget to call my lawyers
    With ridiculous demands
    An you can take the pity so far
    But it's more than I can stand
    'Cause this couchtrip's gettin' older
    Tell me how long has it been
    'Cause 5 years is forever
    An you haven't grown up yet

    Yeah, I tried both, but didn't see a board out there like this one. Suns website also has way too much stuff, and I spent about a half an hour looking, and the only tutorial about begineer java talks about makeing a java file in like notepad or something and compiling it from dos.

    no, but we have to use the IDE. I didn't want to say it, but its for a class. We have to write some binary search tree class, and it is our first program ever in java. Nobody in the class knows how to do it, and our professor only knows like 4 words of english and is completely worthless. I would have asked him, but when I asked him something before, he just asked me the same tyhing I was asking him.

    I know that kind of teachers . They suck big time. Anyways, a good IDE for JAVA is Forte For Java. Search the web. If you have any questions PM me.
    Current projects:
    1) User Interface Development Kit (C++)
    2) HTML SDK (C++)
    3) Classes (C++)
    4) INI Editor (Delphi)
