    COM Architecture and Inside COM

    Hi.

What is the difference between COM and COM+?

I read Inside COM by Dale Rogerson. I do not have the book because it is out of print, so I had to borrow it from the library. Anyways, is there any significant reason as to why that book is out of print? I thought it is an exceptional book in terms COM architecture, design and implemetation. I am ready to design and implement COM components and need a reference book. I want Inside COM! Nonetheless, I am reluctant to buy a used copy and I would like to know if there is any real reason it is out of print such as the concepts Rogerson goes over are false or are wrong.

    Thanks,
    Kuphryn

If you've started reading your book then you should have a pretty good idea what COM is. This page talks about what COM+ is.

As for the book, it's still good.
