    visual studio

ok, a little off the topic here, but i know tons of people use visual c++. i want the resource editor to stop kicking in, i want to edit my .rc scripts manually. i already created one manually, and for a while i could edit it directly, but all of a sudden its letting visual studio handle it for me. what do i do?

okay, quick MSDN search found it. ill post the solution here for the benefit of future resource editor haters like myself (im gonna get bagged for that, i know. i cant help it. i like doing things the hard way).

Create your resource script however you want. to edit manually, go to file-open, and note the drop down box down the bottom that says Open As. just select text, open your file, and voilą! perfect.
