    Question Help the newbie!

    I'm a first day graphic programmer. I know how to console and all that stuff but now I'm trying out windows. I'm using Borland C++ 5.02 and when I enter this:

    #include <windows.h>

    int WINAPI WinMain(HINSTANCE hInstance, HINSTANCE hPrevInstance, LPSTR lpCmdLine, int nCmdShow) {
    MessageBox (NULL, "Hello World" , "Hello", 0);
    return 0;
    }
    It says undefined reference to _main
    What do I do? If I use int main() instead of WinMain it works, but the dos box comes up behind it. Any suggestions?

    Windows compilers have an option to create a console app (just like your old "Hello World" progs) or Win32 Apps (that use WinMain instead of main)......

    Read your compiler's docs to create a win32 app

    Thanks, here's a tribute. I had to put it in a zip since it won't allow exe's
