    Wink Playing with meh CDs

    Hello,

Does anyone know how to get the CD TEXT data from an audio CD? Apparently it can be requested via the CD-ROM driver in Windows XP and above, but previous versions of Windows must use ASPI. Is that true?

Also, does anyone know how to go about digitally reading the audio tracks from a CD?

I'm sure someone does. You should take a look at msdn.microsoft.com for these kind of questions. Good luck.

Well, there's never any specific information about ANYTHING on MSDN. It seems Microsoft always seem to manage to omit the really important details about their APIs...

Still, looking around at Digital Audio Extraction (ripping) sites that have programming elements, it appears that ASPI is the key to it all. Now, if only I could figure out how to use SendASPI32Command, etc.
