    ActiveX on Linux-Apache server?

Hello, maybe someone here can help me.
I want to investigate more on all the opportunities around ActiveX, but
first I want to know if those .ocx files can be started from an
    Linux-Apache server?

Started from may be the wrong words maybe. I want my visitors to see
the "warning window" with the question "Do you want to install and run "My
ActiveX script" when they visit my webpage.

    Is this what's called Client-side ActiveX ???

    All help needed.
    Thanks

yes, those things that your browser installs are client-side. they are stored on the server in a "cab" file with digital signing usually. Digital signing is handled by companies like verisign and it'll cost a little bit. A cab is kind of like a zip and it contains an "inf" file with instructions on how to install the parts.

Yes you can put a cab on an apache server
