How is it that some applications manage to stay/reappear in the windows taskbar after explorer.exe crashes?
This is actually a really good question. Explorer is merely a shell application for windows. Most applications don't care if explorer crashed since it doesn't really change their existance. Programs that die usually were responsible for the crash. Are you using Win XP by any chance?
I'm talking about the system tray icons. They all disappear except for a few apps. Was wondering what code it took to not be affected.
