The "blue screen of death" is a screen with a blue background with some white text on it. The text may or may not be useful, (usually, requires a good knowledge to make much use of it). It appears when Windows has got sufficiently screwed up that it can't continue.

How to solve it, hmmm, if it is a one off thing, forget it, if it happens often, find out what is causing it and fix it, (glib I know, but it could be almost anything - have you added some new software? new hardware? updated something? written something? deleted something? - you get the idea).

If you have never seen the blue screen of death, consider yourself lucky. You will be "enlightened" soon enough.

The screen usually displays something like "A Fatal OE Exception Has Occurred At 0xFF25" - whatever "OE" stands for I have no idea. My personal fave though is : "The System Is Busy". Busy? Shall I come back a little later then? What kind of message is that anyway? Sheesh.

I know what you mean. My all time favorite message is whenever you install new hardware and you get the messagebox that says "Unknown hardware found, windows is installing software for it..." I mean , what the hell generic software do you guys have??
