Can anyone advise me on the best version of visual studio to use for windows development(Lowest cost option)?
I am in the process of purchasing a new laptop which is fairly high spec and will have windows 8 with the option to downgrade to win7 if I want to. Am I correct in thinking if I need to develop touch screen apps I am best using win 8 operating system to fully use the functionality in Visual Studio??
I have been using code blocks on XPpro up to now just getting into the c and c++ side of things. Will Code Blocks work in Win 8 with no issues??
I just need guidance or words of wisdom as to the best setups for experimenting with everything from windows mobile to full windows desktop apps.
