    Microsoft V6 C++ Compiler detecting Windows 7

    I am having a problem detecting Windows 7 OS using my V6 compiler.
    No doubt this is age related, but practically, I only have one command change between Windows XP and Windows 7, so there is no justification to upgrade to latest compiler for this application.

    I write this just so no-one replies telling me to move to a new compiler.

    Does anyone have a practical workaround that I can use inside V6 compiler.

    Thanks.

    Here's some sample code you can play with:
    GetVersionEx function (Windows)

    Tried that.

    Generated 5.1 for XP and 6.1 for Windows 7.

    Thanks.
