    Best Compiler for win32

    i am new to windows programming. i want to know two things. Which the best compiler for win32 programming. i do not want to work in MFC. i want win32 compiler. Turbo C++ can work to run win32 applications.

    What do you mean by "best"? Microsoft's own series of compilers come to mind, but they are not necessarily the "best" with respect to your requirements.

    I use Pelles-C with satisfactory results... It will build console and gui apps as well as ARM mobile apps, includes all the needed headers and libraries for windows and ARM and has an excellent resource editor built in.

    Never did much like Visual C++ ... can't stand object oriented programming, stuff gives me the willies.

    You never specified if you're looking for a C or C++ compiler.
