where to start learning windows programming?

    hello all,
I'm new to this forum. the purpose of this post is to know what should be the starting point of learning windows programming.
first, i am a final year IT student and have got good knowledge of UNIX.
however, i would like to be a master in Windows programming.
what confusing me is that what should i do first in order for that.
for example, when we learned UNIX, we started from the very basics.
about Windows, if I do a .net course would that include all?
please someone clarify this for me....

If you don't mind buying a book, try Charles Petzold's "Programming Windows" series. Latest edition for .NET, older editions cover C/C++.
