    pfmon.exe tool

    Hello everyone,

I am new to page fault monitor tool (pfmon.exe). Well, there is not too much help information about the parameters. I am wondering what are your preferred parameter if you want to monitor both soft and hard page fault of a process?

Just want to learn from you experienced guys since I can not find any documents with samples. Reading information from /? is sometimes boring. :-)

If there are any links of documents with samples about this tool, it is also appreciated.

    thanks in advance,
    George

What's wrong with the performance monitor which comes with windows itself (which has pretty good help BTW, see your other thread).
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

    Hi Salem,

I can not monitor the soft page fault and could only monitor the hard page fault. I am new to pfmon.exe, it does not have too many documents.

Should I start the application, then use pfmon.exe to monitor its page fault or using pfmon.exe <application name> to start the application?

I tried to use pfmon.exe notepad, but notepad is not displayed.
