    Thanksgiving application

My employer wants me to find an application that will display a Thanksgiving animated image on approximately 700 workstations. He's looking for something along the lines of an animated turkey wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

I have the means to remotely execute this "thanksgiving" app on all workstations. Now all I need is the actual application, peferably an app that can have a customized greeting.

    Any suggestions?

Yeah, you should get the dancing turkey which also installs a keylogger and wipes the drives 24 hours after turkey time.

If you go out on the Internet and download some random animated crap and install it everywhere you are a lunatic. And your boss is nuts too. Can't think of a better way to sink an entire company instantly.

    I'd guess that'd work on l'il Johnnie's home computer.

We're contractors and after Dec 1st, this just won't matter. But in the corporate world, most Network Administrators are anal about security. Their workstations are really locked down. For instance, the workstations have a combination of reduced user privileges, stringent OS policy settings, comprehensive IDS along with virus and spware detection systems running on the workstation. So, using the credentials (which are reduced) of the logged on user in a run once scheduled task presents no issues in this particular case since the binary will be also run thru Syser to identify any red flags and antivirus software prior to being farmed out.

A effective keylogger has to run on the kernel level. User does not have admin privileges to install on the kernel level or even to update registry, let alone install software that will format the local drive 24 hours later. Also, a rookie network administrater would have the common sense to modify OS policy settings to disallow formatting of any drives.

Please don't misunderstand. We're not condoning this practice. It's just something that the guy paying the bills wants to do to spread a little cheer. And as I said before, after Dec 1st we're history
