well.....you can't really say because are you talking about processors that are for sale for the general public or private. My beast guess for a processor that you can buy that is the fastest but also single core would be one of the AMD opteron or fx.go to tomhardware's cpu charts from the main page and find it yourself. Also some processors are faster at some jobs so it is difficult to tell.name and speed
