Ignore the prices.
This TV offers 1080p resolution, but uses Component Video (BNC) connectors. It also has no speakers, which isn't a problem because it's going to be hooked to a surround sound system and it has no HDTV Tuner, which I believe also isn't a problem so long as my cable box does. Correct?
This TV only offers 1080i resolution, however it uses HDMI for it's connector. Apparently, at short distances, you shouldn't notice a difference between component and HDMI, but HDMI is still supposed to be better overall. It also has speakers and an HDTV Tuner.
So my first question is, which of the two is a better TV? How much better would you say it is? ... and also, am I right that Digital Cable Boxes (may) have an HDTV Tuner and that the first TV would display this so long as the cable box has it? What about DVDs and Blu-Ray? Does it need a tuner for that?
Thanks.
