    Adobe Reader 6 activation problem

Hi, i purchased an e-book and dowloaded Adobe Reader 6 to read it. Then i went through the Adobe Reader Activation process and created a .NET passport. The activation data seemed to download and Adobe Reader started automatically. But after a while it displayed this error message: "Cannot activate Adobe Reader. Adobe DRM activater is not responding." Have anyone of you guys experienced this problem? anybody knows a solution to this?
    My OS is Win98 SE
    Thanx for any help.

since when did reader6 require activation?
I've never heard of that before.
I've installed the linux version of reader 7 with no activation required for full functionality, directly from Adobe's download page
