    FTP server question

I have set up an ftp server with vsftpd. Things went fine until I shut down my computer and started it the next day. Now when I start the server it always says it cannot bind port 20. Does anyone know why not, or how to fix it?

I doubt that is the problem. That same error message comes up when I try to connect with a client, even a client on the same pc.

In order to bind to a port lower than 1025, you need to be logged in as root. If that doesn't solve your problem, then make sure another application is not already bound to that port (as computation said, maybe vsftpd is already running).
