    what exactly is messed up?
If the tabs and file menu are gone, try double clicking the top of the TM window. I thought this was the result of a virus several times before...till I stumbled upon it myself and found out it was a "feature"...

No problem, I can't tell you the amount of times I ran a repair on windows thinking that some spyware/virus on someones computer had messed up task manager (which with what happens it would make sense because you can't get to the process list in most cases) to no avail. Glad I could save you the frustration.

Well if you ever need a backup for Task Manager in the event of a virus, I recommend Itty Bitty Process Manager
