lately my screen saver, set on "stars" right now startin freezing up even while my computer seemed to be doing nothing, i tried chaning it to other sreen saver type they froze up too.
i use spybot s&d and adaware to keep spyware off my computer.and im pretty sure most if not all spyware is gone, but i dont get whats causing this, anyone got any ideas?
various programs utilize the cpu while your computer is idle... ie P2P

well i cant imagine anything that would do that, i dont leave bearshare or bit torrent open unless im using them
When you say froze up, do you mean the computer froze or that only the screensaver did? It sounds like Windows is simply not updating the screen. Try messing around with the power management options. Another thing you could try is uninstalling and reinstalling the screensavers.
just the screen saver freezes, everything else is fine. its not that big of a deal just it looks weird without my cool star screen saver going like normal
what would i do with the power managment options? and how do i reinstall the default windows screensavers? are the on the windows cd?
