    download stability problems

I can't for the life of me download some lectures around the size of 180 megs each off of the claymath.org site. After 40, 50, sometimes 60 megs downloaded the download will freeze. Do you have any suggestions for me that would improve the stability of my downloads? Do you think this is a problem with firefox? All the other computers on the network can download stuff succesfully and they are all using ie.
    Thanks,
    MadCow

it could be, it could also be the website itsself. Try with IE (i know it hurts, but hey) and if it doesnt work post the links to the ones you need here, i will download them and put them on my .com for you.

Thanks, firefox seems to be the problem. I'm at 75 megabytes now and it's still running with ie. Also, it appears ie is capable of resuming frozen downloads while firefox cannot.

What version of Firefox are you using? I'd try to update it.

I am using Firefox 1.0 I went to the site and noticed there is a newer version avalible so I'll download that. One of the new features was "Increased stability" so that might help.

Currently, the resuming of downloads (and probably other little related tidbits) is broken in Firefox and isn't a priority for the devs, but should work in the next major release.

So yes RoD, you can have your day.
