    Video Card Question

    Which video card is better?
ATI Radeon 7500 90mb imbedded memory
    or the
GeForce FX Go 5200 63mb imbedded memory
My laptop manufacturer has replaced my machine due to my old one keeps breaking. I was provided with the same or better of everything. I was wondering if the video card is the same or better.

the graphics on my new laptop seem boxy.
    example
I go to google and the google name is has the letters are boxy.
It looks like large boxed pixels. Is that the card or the settings you think.
I'm new to this card, so it could be misconfigured.
Also the difference in imbedded ram, do you think that might be a disadvantage?
My concern was aroused when I noticed the difference in ram, but I also thought that the newer technology may not require as much ram to perform the duties that the older card needed the more ram to perform.

    (1) does the difference in imbedded ram make the radien more advantagous?
    (2) what setting could control the boxyness of the graphics?

the older card is a all-in-wonder 7500 ati radeon, if that makes a difference

thanks for the opinion on evaluating this issue.

Go with the nvidia, it supports newer technologies (versions of opengl and directx, as well as nvidias various shader, etc technologies), it's also a faster card. The boxiness of letters and images could be due to windows settings, or a bad display driver. Update to the newest driver available. Then go into your display settings, settings, advanced, general tab and make sure the dpi setting is set to normal.

it was a free replacement for a almost 2 year old laptop.
I wasn't given a choice on the video card.
    Thanks for the input.
