Hey everyone,
Couple of weeks ago somebody "dashed" me a comp, its a P2 but the processor seems to be able to run upto 566 Mhertz and the maximum Ram i can insert is according to the information that came along 1024 Mb...
It has SCSI controller inside and also 4 SCSI hardisks connected to it, so far everything seems ok but i still haevnt tested anything yet since im waiting for a power supply to arrive soon...
( and else im going to get one soon today )
Anyway along with the comp a scanner was "dashed" to me, but to my surprise the scanner also uses SCSI, now my question is where the hell do i insert the cable coming from the scanner into the comp...
Ive never seen a system that uses SCSI so actually im pretty dumb when it comes down to this kind of hardware...Ive searched the mobo and no port was available that fitted the SCSI cable from the scanner, when i follow the SCSI cable going from SCSI controller to the 4 hard drives - the end of that cable ( after coming out of the hard disk block ) goes to the back of the computer, there you can plug in a cable...( maybe something like an SCSI port... )
But this port is bigger then the connector of the SCSI port.
Is there anyway i can plug in that scanner, it used to work before ( according to the one who dashed it to me - and no the system will still work i got it dashed not because its broke but because i worked in that company for some time during summer and i got to know a "high" positioned lady, we got friends and at the end she said that i could have the comp if i wanted ).
Any help would be very much appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Greets,
Ganglylamb.
PS: sorry if im using the wrong english words for all the hardware related terms...english is not my mother tongue and when it comes down to hardware terms like this i just mix everything up.
