    Don't be a dick RoD. I've had an AMD (1.2 GHz) for 3+ years running just a CPU fan. The only time it ever overheated was when my PSU went bad. In fact, the AMD processors of late are handling heat better than the Intel chips. Don't be such a proc snob.

    The one I was talking about was an AMD. It had a fan sitting on the heatsink and then the PSU (?) fan. It kept rebooting so I opened it up and the heatsink was so freaking hot. But, it had ALOT of dust in it.
    What is C++?

    I'm a dedicated amd fan, have been ever since two years ago when i toyed with a K6, now with my XP1800+. Right now im using air cooling, for a few days at least.

    I'm not saying they dont handle heat well, they have come a long way since the older days. Vicious had said:

    What i meant by my reply was that any AMD chip will fail if it is run in excess of a few seconds without a fan or heatsink. Pentiums do the same thing. He made his statement as though it was an accomplishment, when i was merely pointing out its amazingly easy.
