A few weeks ago AVG (anti-virus program) popped up a message saying that it had found a virus, and that the file could not be removed using it's standard method, and asked for permission to move the file to it's vault, which I gave it. No more virus warnings, but now at log on I get a message saying that bridge.dll could not be found, and a warning that my hard drive could not be found, and I was to insert one at some folder ending with DM3 or something like that. While uninstalling some software later that day I noticed "BRIDGE" under the list of programs, which I know had never been there before. I tried to remove it (assuming of course, that this was a remnant of the virus), but it failed because it's related dll could not be found (duh) and Windows had a problem with that. So I ran regedit and removed the record manually, but I still get the warnings at start up. The dll file was originally found under /Windows/downloaded ... files. I'll try to get the specifics of the directory names when I log on again, but does anybody know what I can do to get rid of these warnings? My PC seems to be running fine without this bridge.dll, and having looked around on google, it appears that other people have had this file, but I haven't found the solution to this problem. Anyone? Anyone?
