    html extensions

I've been seeing some cool web pages with weird extensions. I came across a site that is using .do and .go and some other methods to gather data.

    What is this?

    Example

    http://www.blogger.com/signup.g

<cynical>a new and creative way of spamming your site by disguising it as a meaningful question</cynical>

The only thing which matters is the fact that it's got http in front of it

The suffix may (or may not) suggest some server side application which generated the HTML on the fly, rather than just locating a file. But its still HTML.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

You might want to check out this site that lists File Extensions.
This site might even be worth a sticky (if it isn't somewhere already).

That's all I wanted Salem, you don't need to be an ass.

I am looking to find out what the application is, as it's being used by many new sites. Thanks for the link exluddite, and the info ventolin.

    I'll check it out.

Fine - you think what the hell you want - when noobs come here and the first thing they post is an off-topic question containing a URL to a signup page, I'm damn well going to be suspicious that its just another scam or something.
