    Win2K Limiting CPU Usage?

I know how to limit the VCache, the memory usage for programs, but how can I limit cpu usage; I'm getting readings as far as 98 and 99% on things that shouldn't be taking that much up. I have a P4 1.8GHz. Anyway to limit cpu usage?

task manager, select the process, right click, set priority, select low or something like that, then set system idle processes (or something you want to have higher priority) to high.
    PHP and XML
    Let's talk about SAX

why would you want to limit the CPU cycles a program gets? unless it's stealing from other programs, all it's really doing is working fast...

Some programs do steal cycles...if I'm running a background virus scan...I want it to do just that, run in the background, not steal all my resources.
Some thing to that effect is what he's probably getting at

well in that case just set it's priority lower, like you said... I thought he meant liek when you have one prog running and it's taking up 85% CPU time...
