Question Build an enterprise application for a customer with aprox. 100 Clients ???

HI!!!

If you would happen to get the chance to build an enterprise application
for a customer with aprox. 100 Clients (…and increasing) which technology
and architecture would you choose. The security policy is pretty strong
so we would have actually only port 80 available. Besides that no deployment
effort on client side is desirable. There is a 100Mbit LAN and this new
application would be deployed on the intranet (internal network).
The GUI of this application should be very rich and fast like win32 applications.
What would you propose in order to fulfil those requirements.
Any hints, links and ideas will be highly appreciated

Regards,

Question Microsoft SMS vs. novadigm software and other software?!?!

Hi!

Imagine you have a company with aprox. 500 Client PCs.
It is a windows 2003 domain. Suddenly you want to install
a certain software on 289 of 500 PC. You have 1 hour for this job…
or you can pack your things… what do you do?
We are looking for a solution / software that can handle Microsoft SMS
(Software Management Services), updates and inventory fully automated.
We looked at the solution of novadigm (http://www.novadigm.com) and Microsoft SMS.
Has anybody worked with those systems?
What about the idea of keeping the images of OS and applications separately.
So you can install any possible combination of applications on any OS according
to your Company policy. We also need an automatic inventory service with web access GUI.

Any Ideas or hins?

So long

Question Establish a new intranet using Share Point Server 2003 ???

Hi!

We need to establish a new intranet for one of our customers using Share Point Server 2003.
We are looking for exemplary intranet sites where we can see what are the main areas that
are commonly covered by “todays” intranets to have an idea what is the typical content
in nowadays big intranets.

Links would by appreciated.

Thank you

I agree!!!
This is one of the worst cases of board abuse in a long time.
Find a better forum, or find a better job, one where you're not so hopelessly ill equiped to deal with.

See, this is what you get when people manage to scam their way through exams into a "good" job, then try and scam their work off others in order to try and keep it.

This is actually a pointless reply because I know you've got email notification turned on by default.

My hope is that you get 5 copies of the notification, one for each of the threads you started, but which are now all part of this thread.
