I have linux installed under VMware in windows XP. I can both read and write to the NTFS file system though VMware may play a part in that.
If you want the benifits of using linux but dont want to give up the benifits of windows i suggest VMware. it allows you to run an OS from within another so you can use both at the same time.
Hmm, theres another idea to play with, but im trying to learn linux so i dont rely on windows. Quite honestly i want to stop using it.
Samba comes with mandrake...everythings on those install disks

Why'd you install 9.0 when 9.2 is already out?
because it's impossible to find a working mirror for 9.2...he prob picked up 9.0 at a store. I d/l iso's that were labeled 9.2 which ended up being a very unstable 10.0 cooker...bastards

AOL + Linux = disaster.
AOL is windows-only and the hacks for linux are few and only work in a few countries (france i think). The best solution is to get a real ISP.

yeah, aol blows, but anywho, did you get it all figured out RoD?
