    Question Registry hive viewer?

    Hello,

Does anyone know of any programs about that will open an NT system registy hive? I'm trying to hack my own hardware settings, as Windows 2000 is being less than co-operative.

I almost had it fooled when I used Spy++ and a small program to enable the "Use automatic settings" checkbox in the Resources tab for the hardware, but I can only change the configuration to one where it doesn't work.

As far as I can tell, changing the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\P CI\(Hardware)\Control\AllocConfig value should do it, but will it let me change it? Noooo...

Never done it before but try:
    1) Export registry (twice and use 1 as a backup)
    2) Edit the exported registry (this is what I'm not sure of)
    3) Upload edited export
