Exclamation URGENT! need help swapping partitions

i have 2 hard drives. the one im on is 40 gb with 30 used and the other one (my good one) has an old partition that takes up 30gb as well. what i want to do is transfer all my current files and settings to the good drive and transfer all of the files on that drive here. im not sure how to do it but i need some help asap.

edit: also, my good drive has 80 gb which is more than enough to accomodate both drives

Urgency is your problem, not mine

I'd say all of the partition management packages out there would be capable of copying one partition to another.

i really dont want to have to buy anything. cant i just manually copy all the files by hand (including the system and hidden files)? i thought that might be a problem since some files might be in use but i might be wrong.

I don't suppose it crossed your mind that some of the utilities out there are actually free.

Oh well....
