How does it work? Does it act as a complete OS? Or does it create a fullscreen window that simulates Longhorn? Or what?

It's complete installation CD just like other Windows. I want to know is if I install that, what benefits can I get? Can I face uncompatiblity problem?

nope, it's an OS, not something that opens in a window, it's far from being complete as I heard, M$ delayed the release to 2006.

I wonder if you'll be able to run current software at all, it's a very early release after all, so don't expect it to replace current Windows systems right now.

LongHorn is just the codename. Its named after a bar or somthing up in Whistler, BC, Canada (a ski area).

...and how does it relate to windows? what silicon valley is in Canada? what does Canada have to do with Longhorn?

Stupid Canadians - they allways mess everything up.

Don't be offended my fellow Canadians, I was just joking!
