If any of you are interested in some screenshots of Alpha - which I don't think is true Longhorn - you can see them here at http://www.winsupersite.com

I have also heard official claims that the new Windows - Longhorn - will feature a new way to install our games, kind of like a Playstation, just plug and play. But what I want to know is how this is going to work out with the Mod communities.

So what's the point of a codename if it's not secret?

people would go hacking or try, into servers like MS's looking for keywords like windows 2005 or whatever, a name like longhorn or chicago goes unnoticed.

The hacking parties include not only people on the outside, but people working at microsoft who shouldn't have access to the code. In this way it prevents code leaks, or it's supposed to.

Could be this you saw. It's not legit. You can get the beta from MS - beats me why anyone would bother trying to crack something that is available anyway - guess it just goes to show that crackers live in a world of their own - a complete bunch of losers!
