Really, can a switch have poor quality? I've been thinking this since we changed ISP's. Because it seems as though one computer gets all of the bandwidth, then the other cannot get online. Which seems kinda weird. So I was wondering if there is any kind of device which can limit bandwidth to either computer, something that was non-blocking preferably. I was thinking of maybe a router or a new switch. But with a router we cannot both have our own IP's, so I don't know. We have a crappy 8-port switch in the basement, is it possible to get a switch which minimizes collisions?
