    Defragging

Anyone know of a program that can defrag a particular file instead of having to defrag the entire drive?

What can you gain from defragmenting a single file?
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

I would have thought that if you copy and paste a file then delete the original, it would be allocated contiguous space unless there was not enough contiguous space for that to happen, in which case, you'd need to defrag the drive or delete a big contiguous chunk anyway?

Use something like ext3 and you won't have to worry about it. So what if windows doesn't support it DON'T USE WINDOWS and you won't have to worry about it.

BTW: This was a joke, not to be taken seriously.
