In the past I've always edited the file msdos.sys to set up my computer to boot from dos instead of windows... I just reinstalled windows like a day ago... Msdos.sys isn't there, is there any other way I could change this? Or can I get the file?

if memory serves msdos.sys is a hidden file. On 98 the file has to be there for it finish boot.
Trying opening a dos console, go to root, type attrib msdos.sys and then see if you get a response.
thanks, it was a hidden file, I forgot to change the view settings.
During boot up you could always press the Ctrl key repeatedly.
Come cast your shadow over me
and I'll cast mine all over thee
Take me away, into the shades
where there is no light of day
>>ctrl key
or F8 or del or whatever it's set to recognize, i've seen F8 more often than not.
