    .NET install issue

Hi guys, i have Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architecht and im having a problem. I installed the program fine, then had to format the computer recently.

Well i tried to install it (custom choices) and got an error. So i removed everything and tried a full install, same error. The CD's are immaculate, i cant figure out whats going on but its going to be really really hard to get a new copy.....I would think maybe its because i installed 6.0 today as a temp but it was doing this before that install. I've only used these CD's once before. Heres a screenshot.

    Thnx alot.

Due to the image restrictions i can only show the actual error box, this was still on CD1 btw.

    Hmmmmm??? Try msconfig.

--edit-- Did you also try searching for that file and copying it from the disk. See if it will copy manually to check the file integrity.

Heres all the files in the folder it wants to target, i can find one close to the name but not exact. Files cant just vanish from a cd.....

Perhaps we can figure out what it goes with and maybe i dont have to install that?

Have you contacted Microsoft? I know that could be difficult, but maybe they'll give you some free stuff.
    Away.

lol. In msconfig, disable start-up items. That way if there is any other program that is using that file already on the HD, it wont be able to copy it or just a seperate TSR that just wont let it copy it over. It will disable that and probably let you install it. That specific file might be in a .cab file that extracts when installing. If thats the case, good luck

    --edit--
I dont know how hard you looked, but the very most right (top row) file in that pic you posted is the exact name. Try copying that file.

Its been a seriously long week, sorry.

So anyway i copied and pasted it and after about 10 seconds it said it couldnt copy, read rather, and it vanished from my documents. Its for the symbols i can prolyl install without them.
