    networking

    Hi was wondering if anyone can help out here.

    I have 2 machines here with win 2000 installed,
    both are in a domain,
    both are working well,
    Only thing is i cannot see the machines on the network, I can ping
    connect to there shares etc, only cause i know there ip and names,
    If i use network neighbourhood they dont appear there at all !!

    i cant understand why though.

    - What network protocols have you installed (tcp/ipx)?
    - Have you installed the MS file and printer sharing service?

    Have you any software firewalls running, (ZoneAlarm, BlackIce etc)? These can stop legitimate lan traffic.
