(the function is all about connection to the internet). so what should i do if i would like to disable the tasks? i have checked the startup on the msconfig, but there's nothing special right there, i can't any program that make the internet connection request apper on screen.

so any comments about this situation. thanks.

    What version of Windows?

Get a spybot checker tool, like Ad-aware.

Check your running tasks, see anything unusual?

Get a program like Zonealarm or Outpost Firewall that tell you which applications are trying to connect out to the net.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

you mean there would be something embedded in the computer? it is all download from the internet.
well i think i have just checked the startup system, and i realize there is no problem right there.

is it possibility the problem occured cause of the setting anywhere ?

thanks for your comments about the application that you intro. :P

I had a similiar problem on XP a while back. I checked the registry, ran an Ad-aware on it, virus scan, took EVERYTHING off of the msconfig, and it still happened.

I ended up having to reinstall XP.

Do you mean you have a dialog box come up that asks you to connect to the internet, and you want it to not connect - as you message suggests

    ... or ...

do you mean you have a dialog box come up that asks you to connect to the internet, and you want it to automatically connect to the internet without asking as your message title suggests? (Like a PPPoE connect dialog)

Have you done that yet? I don't see that we can help you without having more information, which is what a spybot checker and/or something like a firewall will tell you.

No, I'm not *sure*. Try something like Ad-aware .

If you want to know about the services XP runs as standard, read this . There might be something you can turn off.
