off VIM beep..

Hi guys,

Just a simple question, how do you permanently switch off the annoying beep for vim?

I have to off it manually, every time in enter vim

:set vb t_vb=

any suggestions?

Got it working, what if i want to off the beep in shell/bash?

what is the command to do so?
