    visual hardware solution

hey there, i would like to retrieve some info about the hardware solution.

anyway, the AGP and the video card is the purpose of displaying the graphic on the monitor is it? so if let say that the monitor which i found that the color have been changed, such like the color monitor going to be in red color. so is it monitor problem.

the seller computer have been fixed the monitor at the first time, and he said it dont have any problem, so the seller tried to send the monitor to the company to repair it. however, the company did repair it and they didn't giving the info about the monitor problem.

after that i use it for 2 week, the problem is still coming back which is the situation is just like the previous time. so i send it back, and you know what the seller said ? he said maybe the AGP or the video card problem.

so the point is is the agp or the video card could affect the problem of the monitor (the monitor changing color , the monitor color changed to normal after for few second or a minute). any comment about it? thanks..

ive seen this a lot, its most likely the monitor cable being loose, if u move it around u might be able to get purple and yellow and green also, or you might be able to solve the problem if u move it just right

so the agp or the video card problem would not cause the monitor color problem is it ?

It could be a graphics card problem, but I doubt it. Try wiggling, like he said. If that doesn't help, try adjusting your monitor settings (either with the on-screen menu that most new monitors have, or the spinny things). If THAT doesn't work, try to use the default color profile for your monitor. If THAT doesn't work, look in your graphics card settings and see if your color is set up right in there (if your graphics card can do that). If THAT doesn't work, reinstall your graphics card and monitor drivers. If THAT doesn't work, test the monitor on another computer. If the monitor still acts up, get a new one. You can get a 15" CRT monitor for like $50. My brother went to a computer show and got a 17" for $65. It was an IBM too; good shape. It was just a little dirty, but all monitors get that way after time, mine is too, and it's only 3 1/2 years old.
