    wine - building font matrices

    hi again...

    U know, before I got Mdk 9.1 I compiled and installed wine from the source code. It went fine and everything worked as it should.

    But since I've installed Mdk 9.1 and tried to run wine on it I had some problems with tha whole crap. On my new OS wine compiles and installs really nicely. Nothing unordinary happens... But when I first wanted to test it and run a Win32 app, it all crashed. First wine told me that it can't find /dev/cdrom and the floppy. Than it began to build font matrices (I don't know what's that for - never happend to me before). When it was finished, nothing happend. So I killed wine and tried again, but then the whole XServer crashed. When I rebooted my machine it said that he couldn't shutdown the X Font Server. Then all kind of errors began showing up
    After rebooting I tried wine again, but this time it just began writing "Couldn't find cdrom Couldn't find floppy Segmentation fault" thousands of times in the output stream. Than I couldn't kill wine in any kind of way, so I had to reboot my machine again !!!
    I've also tried to recompile wine, but that didn't help either.

    Does anyone knows something thsat can solve my problem?

    thanx

    Did you even bother to edit the config file? There should be settings for every DOS/Windows style mount point (like C: or D.

    Unhappy -->

    Well, yes, I've tried that too. The fonts problem disappeared, but the "Segmentation fault" is still there i'm afraid...
