    First of all, its Trojan :P Secondly, thats the worst idea i have ever heard. No offense, but thats worse then XP's built in function, no trojan is secure, ever, period.

    because i was under the impression the suggestion was suggesting the use of a common or pre-made trojan such as sub7.

    why in the hell would software running on top of any kernel (xp or not) be more secure than what's built into the kernel?

    because the XP firewall is a half-ass feature that they threw in to be just that, a feature. Getting past xp's firewall is a walk in the park that even a script kiddie could waltz through.

    somehow i doubt that the feature built into xp that allows you to remote admin is protected by the internet firewall.

    Getting into a computer using the xp firewall or running the remote service is an easier target than an old lady in a alley at midnight, its that simple.
